ZenTransfer forwards every incoming file to all active destinations simultaneously. You configure destinations once and toggle them on or off per assignment from any browser, including your phone.
Destination types¶
FTP servers — add outbound FTP destinations by hostname, port, credentials, and target folder. Wire services and newsrooms typically receive photos over FTP.
Cloud storage — Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Amazon S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage, and Adobe Lightroom.
Email — notification emails with traceable download links. Downloads are logged in your account.
Webhooks and Zapier — trigger automations when a file arrives. See API and webhooks.
Toggling destinations mid-assignment¶
Your destination list changes by job. Example configuration:
- Agency FTP — enabled for accredited events
- Wire service FTP — enabled on deadline assignments
- Client email — enabled for a specific commission
- Personal Google Drive archive — always enabled
The camera profile never changes. You control routing from your dashboard while the camera keeps the same FTP credentials.
Parallel vs sequential delivery¶
Delivery is parallel, not queued. Every active FTP destination receives the file at the same time. You are not choosing which desk gets the file first.
Game-day example¶
A sports photographer might enable Getty FTP, Reuters FTP, and a personal archive for the match. During play the camera transmits over a 5G hotspot. Every frame forwarded to ZenTransfer is immediately sent to all three destinations.
After the final whistle, the photographer enables a client email destination for post-match access shots, then disables it when that session ends.
Desktop app for bulk delivery¶
The ZenTransfer Desktop App accepts drag-and-drop folders and uses the same destination and metadata configuration as camera uploads.
